Party Announcement
Hey everybody...we're having a Labor Day bash to celebrate three separate events simultaneously. I've included some pictures from our last party so you can get an idea of what's in store...scroll past them as there is more information beyond the pictures!!!
Who: If you get an invite or if someone who did invites you....
What: Big-ass party with beer, ribs and good times
Where: 215 Ln 120 Long Lake, Fremont, IN (Click here for a Google map~!)
When: Sept. 1st, starting about 2pm... (and probably continuing through September 2nd too)
Why: Jill (Hague) Kaduk and Katie Kaduk both graduated from their respective Universities this summer! Jill graduated from Tri-State with her bachelors in business, and Katie graduated from John Marshall Law School CSU and has just completed her Ohio Bar exams! Also, it's Andy and Jill's 2nd anniversary, so a party is most definitely an order for any one of these occasions.
Yes, I'm cooking the ribs. People have been bugging me to fire up a batch for a couple of years, so I'm going BIG. Bring a bib.

My lovely wife and I take a break from the 2005 party for a photo-op.
If you want to showcase your culinary talents, feel free to bring some food. We'll be providing ribs, chicken and other entree type stuff, as well as some side dishes and salad etc, but there's always room for more! Covered dishes, crockpots...whatever works. We'll feed the masses whatever you want to bring.
Nate Dinken and Fort Wayne contractor Tom McComb enjoy the keg and the company at the 2005 party.
We will be providing two kegs, mixed drinks, hairy buffalo and some other adult beverages, as well as sodas and water for the kiddies. If you want something else, feel free to bring it. We might even have a couple cases of wine on hand, but if you want something specific, be prepared to carry it in yourself (hey, we can't read your minds, people).

We are asking that everyone RSVP if the urge so strikes you...so email us at:
thekaduks@verizon.net
akaduk@gmail.com
or call us at:
260-483-9198
260-416-2624
If you don't RSVP and show up anyway, you'll be subjected to doing 10 shots of ***my*** choice before you can join the party. Ok, I'm kidding, but I'll find some awful thing for you to do for showing up unannounced. Or, more probably, I might not even notice and you can all laugh at me.
We hope to see you all there!

The Pile of Rocks
It all started with a mystery pile of rocks in my driveway....
Ok, it was a mystery to my wife until I told her how they appeared and why.So we started the day by digging out a bunch of overgrown filth, putting down landscaping plastic and piling up the rocks. We added a few ornamental grasses, including a blue fescue of which I am particularly fond, and a small juniper shrub. The idea is that we don't want anything that will drop little pellets of compost in the pool. This was the end of day one:
Axl and Whitney got in on the action with Aunt Katie (aka Uncle Dorkboy). They planted some French rosemary and some cilantro in the freshly weeded herb garden. They enjoyed smelling the sage and the chives which seem to be doing well already this year.
The end of day one was celebrated with tuna steaks, a couple of smoked chicken breasts, bacon-wrapped asparagus, red skinned potatoes, and of course some beer and wine. Exhaustion provided a comfortable, buzzy segue into day 2.
